    A school-based behavioral health approach facilitates collaboration while ensuring that services provided in school are appropriate to the learning context. Our team has a wide variety of training in areas such as child development, mental health, learning, culturally responsive services, and school systems. We have unique expertise in how these elements interact to shape children’s behavior, learning, and overall adjustment in schools.

  • Art Therapy

    Our consulting Art Therapy Program applies neurodevelopmental integration tools to foster fun. Engaging kinesthetic experiences will stimulate the formation of imagery and activate learning. Art builds new communication pathways, reducing stress and creating new potential connections.

 Emily Anderson LICSW, ESDM Certified

Director of Co-Located Mental Health Services

Emily works with a wide variety of clients ranging in ages and backgrounds.  She has an extensive history working with children and families with developmental differences.  She is trauma informed in her approach and recognizes the need for a wholistic understanding of the relationship between the mind and body.  Emily provides supervision; she enjoys supporting those growing and refining their work.  Emily is passionate about community systems with the mindset to increase accessibility and engagement in services through diversity, equity and inclusion. 

The processes of embracing one’s story can be liberating.  Life is often created through moments we do not anticipate.  Emily is passionate about joining with others to better understand how their stories have been shaped by their experiences.  She seeks to increase the expressive narratives in order to allow others to more holistically and diversely understand the complexities of humanity.  She is committed to providing supportive, nonjudgmental spaces in order to allow individuals and families to journey in painful places as well as embrace delight.

What to Expect

The most important thing to us is our relationship with you and your child. That relationship is the foundation that allows us to find the best path to reach your child’s goals. Below is a summary of our starting point together. Please contact us today, so we can meet your child and begin a new, exciting journey together!

 

Step 1: Contact Us to Schedule an Evaluation

We want to hear your story. The more we know about your family, and specifically your child, the more helpful we can be. In this first conversation, we’ll ask some basic questions, and then schedule a time to meet your child and assess their needs.


Step 2: Prep for an In-Home Meeting

One of our licensed psychologists will visit your home to meet your child and you. We will spend time playing with your child to observe their patterns of learning and relating. We will also ask you some questions.

We are not there to judge you or how you parent. Our goal is to gain insight into how we can best support your child and you. We are advocates for the wellbeing of your whole family. To prepare for this evaluation, you can think about any questions or observations you’d like to share with us.

Step 3: We Get Back to You With Your Results and Next Steps

Once the evaluation is complete, we will write and share a summary of our observations. At this point, we will be able to communicate a plan for how we can move forward together.
