From the Director's Desk
Dear Colleagues and Partners,
As we enter June, I'm excited to share that Ignite has reached a significant milestone this quarter—we're currently looking at expanding to center-based services in our newest location - the Fox Valley area. We are beyond excited for this new adventure, allowing us to support children and their families in that region of the state in a center.
I want to acknowledge the incredible work our BTs and BCBAs have been doing with increasingly complex cases. Your problem-solving skills, compassion, and commitment to data-driven decisions continue to set the standard for quality care in our region. As we grow, maintaining these high standards remains our top priority.
Warm regards,
Becca Prinsen
Director of Autism Services, Ignite Child Development Services
Industry Updates
Latest Research and Developments in ABA
Early Identification Biomarkers: Collaborative research between behavior analysts and neuroscientists has identified potential behavioral biomarkers that may help identify children who would benefit from ABA services as early as 9 months of age, potentially allowing for earlier intervention and improved outcomes.
Advances in Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI): A new meta-analysis in the Behavior Analysis in Practice journal confirms that hybrid approaches combining traditional ABA with developmental and relationship-based components show enhanced generalization of skills to natural environments. Particularly notable was the improvement in spontaneous communication and play skills.
