Parent and Caregiver Training

Evidence-Based Support When Your Family Needs It Most

You don't need a certification to be your child's best teacher—you already are. But that doesn't mean you have to figure everything out alone.

Our parent and caregiver training programs give you the evidence-based strategies and confidence to support your child's development, manage challenging behaviors, and navigate daily life with less overwhelm and more hope—whether you're waiting for services to start, your child has aged out of therapy, or you're facing complex behaviors that feel impossible to manage on your own.

Who This Service Is For

Families Waiting for an Autism Diagnosis or ABA Therapy

You just got the diagnosis, or you're stuck on a 9-month waitlist, and you're thinking: "What am I supposed to do in the meantime—just wait?"

The answer is no. Critical developmental windows don't pause for paperwork or insurance authorizations. Start learning evidence-based strategies now, during the months when your child's brain is most ready to grow, so every single day counts.

Parents of School-Aged Children

Your child turned 7, aged out of early intervention, and suddenly you're navigating homework meltdowns, playground struggles, and morning routines that feel like battles—without the intensive support you once had.

You shouldn't have to do this alone. Our programs are designed specifically for the challenges school-age kids and families face, giving you practical tools that work in real life, not just in a therapy room.

Any Parents or Caregivers who want to Advocate for Their Child

You don't need to wait for a crisis. Whether you're proactive or in the thick of it, parent training empowers you to promote positive behaviors, strengthen communication, and build your child's independence in the moments that matter most—mealtimes, bedtime, the grocery store, all of it.

Programs that Meet You Where You're At

Project ImPACT
Ages 18m-6years

Learn naturalistic intervention strategies you can embed into play, meals, bath time, and everyday moments. Help your child develop communication and social skills right where they naturally happen.

This means you're not adding more to your already overflowing plate—you're learning how to turn the moments you're already living into opportunities for your child to grow.

RUBI (Research Units in Behavioral Intervention) Ages 4-13

Gain practical tools for managing challenging behaviors like tantrums, aggression, and noncompliance. RUBI is especially valuable for school-aged children who need behavioral support but aren't in ABA therapy.

Imagine feeling equipped—not helpless—when your child melts down at the dinner table or refuses to get in the car. That's what RUBI gives you: confidence in the hardest moments.

P-ESDM (Parent-Implemented Early Start Denver Model)

Ages 12-24 months

Start early intervention through play-based strategies—even before your child receives a formal autism diagnosis. Learn to follow your child's lead while promoting engagement, communication, and learning.

This is therapy that doesn't feel like therapy. It's you and your child connecting, playing, and building skills together in ways that feel natural and joyful.

Custom Parent Training Plans

Work one-on-one with our BCBAs to address your family's unique needs: severe behaviors, toilet training, mealtime challenges, sleep routines, gaining independence in daily living tasks, and more.

Every family is different. We design training that fits your real life—not a textbook version of parenting.

Investment in Your Family

We know cost is a real concern when you're already stretched thin—emotionally, financially, logistically. Here's how families access our parent training programs:

Funding Options

Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) Waiver (Milwaukee County Only)

Many families qualify for parent training services at no cost through Wisconsin's CLTS program. If your child is on Medicaid and has an autism diagnosis, there's a good chance you're eligible.

Visit the Milwaukee County Health and Human Services Website for more details:

Private Pay

For families who don't qualify for CLTS, parent and caregiver training is $120 per hour—the same rate insurance companies pay for family training in traditional ABA programs. You're getting the same expertise, just delivered in a way that fits your family's needs.

Assessment for Complex Behaviors

When needed for severe or complex presentations, our comprehensive behavioral assessment is $175 per hour (typically 8-12 hours total). This investment ensures we design the safest, most effective plan for your family from day one.

Important Note About Insurance

Here's the truth: Parent training services typically aren't covered by private insurance unless your child is actively receiving ABA therapy.

But the strategies you learn in our programs are the exact same evidence-based techniques used in traditional ABA—we're just teaching them directly to you so you can use them in your daily life, where your child needs them most.
