How does ABA therapy support students in the classroom?

School-based ABA helps students with autism succeed in the classroom by teaching skills like following directions, staying on task, and interacting with peers. Our BCBAs work directly with teachers and IEP teams to create behavior support plans that fit seamlessly into the school day. Yes! Our BCBAs regularly attend IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams to align therapy goals with your student’s educational plan. We can provide Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), write Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and train staff on implementation. ABA services can be written into an IEP as a related service or provided through private insurance.

A behavior plan (BIP) outlines strategies for managing a student’s behavior, while ABA therapy is the hands-on, individualized intervention that teaches new skills and reduces challenging behaviors.
