For kids and teens ages 6 and up with autism, at our centers or in school
Homework meltdowns. Tough mornings. A hard time making friends, whether at recess or in the high school hallway. If school-age life feels like one battle after another, you're not alone, and your child isn't either.
Families typically start within 4 weeks at most locations. We accept Medicaid and most major insurance plans.
Our school-age ABA therapy helps kids and teens build the skills they need to feel more confident at school, at home, with friends, and out in the community, with a plan built entirely around them.
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) helps children learn new skills in small, doable steps. New to ABA? Here's how it works.
For kids and teens ages 6 and up, we focus on the skills that make the biggest difference in daily life:
expressing needs, asking for help, and joining conversations
taking turns, reading social cues, and connecting with peers
getting through mornings, homework, and bedtime more smoothly, and building self-care and daily living skills
staying on task in the classroom and at home
learning to calm down and handle frustration
reducing the behaviors that get in the way at home and school
This program focuses on the skills older children and teens need to live as independently as possible. Areas of focus include daily living and self-care skills, communication, and foundational learning skills. The goal is to help each learner participate more fully and thrive in their least restrictive environment, whether at home, at school, or in the community.
This program is for children and teens who have strong communication skills and the academic ability to succeed in their educational setting, but whose behavior, social skills, or difficulty following instructions make it hard to participate safely and successfully. We work on these barriers directly so learners can take part in school with confidence and security.
Services may be provided in a variety of settings:
At our centers, your child gets focused support in a space designed for learning and growth. They also get chances to practice social skills with peers. It's a supportive setting where they can try new things, make mistakes, and build confidence.
For some children, the best place to practice school skills is at school. We provide clinical ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis, right in the school setting.
To provide services at your child's school, we coordinate with your school district, and we're happy to walk you through that process.
Ignite doesn't contract with schools or replace school services. We're your child's ABA provider, meeting them where they learn.
Hybrid ABA combines sessions at an Ignite center with therapy at your child’s school. Center sessions offer focused opportunities to build skills, while school sessions help your child practice those skills during classroom activities, transitions, and interactions with peers.
Your child’s team works toward shared goals across both settings. The balance of center and school time depends on your child’s needs, coordination with the school, available services, and what insurance allows.
Every program is designed around your child's strengths, interests, and goals. We don't use one-size-fits-all plans, because no two kids or teens are the same.
We notice and celebrate what your child does well, so they want to keep doing it. Then we help them practice real-world skills in real-world places, so what they learn in therapy shows up at the lunch table, on the playground, at home, and out in the community.
Your child does best when the adults in their life are on the same page. Parent and caregiver training is built into every ABA program at Ignite, so you'll learn practical strategies for the hardest moments at home. We also work closely with your child's teachers and school staff, so your child gets consistent support everywhere they go.
When your child needs a little more support, these services can be added to their ABA program, with the same team, all in one place.
For many kids and teens with autism, communication is one of the biggest hurdles. Speech therapy is built into your child's day at our center. Your child's speech and ABA teams share goals, so every session builds on the last.
Occupational therapy is on the way. It will focus on emotion regulation and sensory needs, helping kids and teens manage big feelings and how they respond to things like noise, textures, and movement.
Supporting a child with autism takes a lot, and you matter too. Our mental health therapy is for parents, caregivers, and families. It's support for navigating the diagnosis, the behaviors, and everything in between, so your whole family can thrive together.
If you or someone in your family is in crisis, call or text 988. Our therapy services are not an emergency service.
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) design and oversee every program.
15–20% BCBA supervision of your child's therapy time, so your child's plan gets close, regular attention.
We track your child's progress and adjust their plan as they grow.
We accept Medicaid and most major insurance plans. Our team can help you verify your benefits, navigate the authorization process (the approval your insurance may need before therapy starts), and understand any out-of-pocket costs.
